Sympathy as a hook

My first memory related to acting is the performances that I did as little rules on the double bed, dressed in costumes, arranged the chairs around and invited the neighbourhood and relatives to watch me, while my brother collected the tickets...

And I found myself acting as a profession, seemingly by accident. I went to the XIV Belgrade high school, near which "Dadov" was located. I liked a boy whom I often met in front of Dadov, and in order to meet him more often, I went to an audition with Darjan Miḫajlović. I was accepted. I quickly became infected with acting, and I completely forgot about the boyfriend who started it all.

Love at second sight

Nice socializing, trips, rehearsals, premieres - all that started to attract me, but still not enough to think about enrolling in acting. It was the year 1999 and my entire class from "Dadov" applied for admission with "only" 900 candidates. I have already enrolled in the Faculty of Law, and just by the way, I went to the entrance exam with them. Then I was shortlisted, but even that was still not enough for me to seriously plan to pursue acting. However, during the first year at the Faculty of Law, I realized that I really miss everything about acting and that this world is definitely very attractive to me. So the following year I entered the Academy of Arts in the class of professors Tika Arsić, Miša Vukobratović and Feđa Stojanović. For the comic monologue, I prepared Jovan Sterija Popović's "Evil Woman", for the drama "Hasanaginica" and Mika Antić's song "Kada mi niješeš".

And somehow everything came quickly after that - already in the second year I was chosen at a big casting for the series "The dollars are coming" and the play "Huddersfield" in JDP. After that came the new roles of "Halflife" in Atelier 212, the series "Wounded Eagle" and "My cousin from the village"... That's how my career began...

Work for and with children

My arrival at the "Boško Buha" Theater was sudden, but I am sure that nothing was accidental because I have always liked to work for the most sincere audience, which is children. I recorded many programs for children - "Fazoni i fore", "Believe but do not exaggerate", "School Magazine", the film "Wolf Berries"... I held various workshops, taught acting in schools, wrote and worked with children's plays. To this day, I teach acting and acting in front of the camera at the "First Steps" school. I also see myself as a big child - what keeps me doing this job forever is the possibility to play forever, dream and never grow up! I have collaborated with many colleagues from "Buha", so I feel like I have come "among my own". I worked with almost everyone, and for the longest time with Andrija Milosevic. With Nemanja Oliverić, I worked on the play "Halflife" at Atelje 212, with Milena Depolo on the projects "One Summer Night", "Airplanes"...

Magical atmosphere

I believe that roles find us, and whoever wants me to bring them to life - that role belongs only to me. You don't have to fight for the others. The most important thing for me is the atmosphere on the project, whether it was a play, a film or a series... Energy and collective work where everyone is equally important makes this our job magical and when there is no such thing - there is no magic.

Recommendations for free time

I love getting to know other peoples and regions of our planet, I like to travel, read, research, watch series and movies and spend time in nature. My all-time favorite movie is "Life is Beautiful" by Roberto Benigni. From books, they are "The Fortress" by Meša Selimović, "Crime and Punishment" by Dostoevsky, the plays "The Taming of the Shrew" by Shakespeare and "Tartif" by Moliere, "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by G. Mr. Márquez, and of course "The Little Prince" by Exuperion and "The Seagull by Jonathan Livingston" by Richard Bach.
